Integrating a Digital Membership Card CRM with QuickBooks Online

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on a custom CRM that manages digital membership card, including member registration, renewals, and subscription tracking.

I would like to integrate it with QuickBooks Online so that:

  • When a new member is added, a customer is automatically created in QuickBooks

  • When a membership is purchased or renewed, an invoice is generated automatically

  • Payment status updates back to the CRM

  • Renewal reminders align with invoice due dates

Has anyone here implemented a similar integration?

I’m especially interested in understanding:

  • Whether QuickBooks Online API supports smooth two-way sync

  • Any common challenges with subscription-based billing

  • Best practices for handling recurring memberships

I’d appreciate any guidance or documentation references from those who have experience with this.
