as soon as a customer was selected, the time entries would be available on the right side of the invoice to add on the invoice. this time all I get is billing/payment options. where is the unbilled time associated with the customer which was just transferred from QB Time?

Hi there, nlenic. I understand you’re having trouble adding billable time to your invoices. I want to reassure you that there haven’t been any changes to how time entries appear on invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To ensure the time entries show up on the right-hand side of the invoice under Unbilled Time, the time must first be approved in QB Time. If the time hasn’t been approved yet, it won’t transfer to QBO or appear on the invoice.

Here’s what you can do to resolve the issue:

  1. Go to Time Entries and locate the employee who performed the job.
  2. Filter the date range if needed.
  3. Select Approve, then go to the + Create icon.
  4. Select Invoice, and enter the customer to whom you want to add the billable time.
  5. On the right side of the invoice page, you’ll see the billable time.
  6. Click Add to link it to the invoice.

If you’ve already approved the time and it’s still not showing up on the invoice, I recommend manually syncing QB Time with QuickBooks Online to ensure the data transfers correctly.
