Migrating a custom web connector setup from QB Desktop to QB online as a developer

Hi,

I have a customer for whom I developed a web app to manage their business. It connects to their QuickBooks Desktop using Web connector. I wrote the code to get/set the relevant data from the web app in order to create invoices, manage payments etc. using QBXML.

They are now being pushed to switch to QuickBooks online, and I am having trouble figuring out what I need to do to enable that.

Most of the searches I have done are met with a response of "Look for an app that does the same", but that doesn't exist in this case, as I wrote the code specifically for that one customer.

As a developer, what options do I have for integrating their web app with QuickBooks online, such that they can continue to do their billing runs in the web app, and it will push the data to QuickBooks to create the invoices etc.?

Thanks!

  4. Sign in, then follow the onscreen pop-ups to proceed.

From the Intuit Developer Dashboard, you can also search for any topics you need help with in the Search bar provided.

You can also use a third-party connector that supports the integration. There, you'll find various apps that work well with QuickBooks Online: QBO App's store.
