Potential Scam

I received a phone call this morning stating it was my rep with Intuit QuickBooks.  My account subscription renewed in March.  However, they stated the service was a separate account for the auto updates and support.  Is this ligit?  I had a bad feeling and didn't feel comfortable giving information when our account renewed fine in March.  If they were separate charges wouldn't they charge at the same time?  The only reason I question is that I did recently get a new company CC.  Has anyone else gone through this?
