Project is Grayed Out - Cannot Edit

I would also get confused if I'm barred from editing any details of the created future projects. So, I'd like to lay down a few suggestions to help you fix the grayed-out box issue.

The issue usually happens when QuickBooks Online has system updates that need to take effect. With this, I recommend logging out and logging back into QuickBooks Online (QBO). Doing so refreshes your account.

If this isn't the case, I suggest accessing QBO via a private window. It'll help us determine whether this is a browser cache-related issue. The search engine you regularly use when working on your books utilizes cached data to load web pages faster. However, excessive cache can lead to problems that cause QuickBooks performance to degrade and affect the account's functionality.

When using incognito mode, it'll assist us in determining its exact cause since this doesn't save your browsing history and doesn't accumulate cache. Here are the keyboard shortcuts: 

• Safari: Shift + ⌘ + N 
• Google Chrome: CTRL + Shift + N
• Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge: CTRL + Shift + N

Once logged in, modify the projects again. If you can update the info,  clear the browser's cache. Doing so improves system performance, fixes program problems, and frees storage space. Using other supported browsers also helps us verify if this is a browser-specific problem.
