Subject: Payment on Hold – Assistance Needed Hello Intuit Support Team, I processed a payment of $1,900 on Tuesday, December 10th for my client [PII removed.] (Invoice #1005). This is my first QuickBooks payout, and I understand it may be under verification. I have followed Intuit’s guidance and linked all accounts correctly. I also processed a payment for [PII removed.] on Friday, December 12th for $4,200, which cleared on Monday, and I have a follow-up payment of $5,400 pending. These transactions show my account and processes are correct. However, Carolyn’s payment is still on hold, delaying my work and affecting my business reputation. Please advise what I need to do to release this payment quickly. I am ready to provide any additional information required. Thank you for your support. Best regards, Angela Consultant DBA Email: [PII removed.]

I'd be glad to help you with your first post here in the Community space, Angela. I understand the importance of timely payments to clients.

Since the other two payment transactions processed correctly, verify the status of the first one by logging in to your Merchant Service Center account. If you see the word Withheld in the METHOD column, that payment is on hold. It could be due to this being your first payout through QuickBooks.

With this, Intuit will notify you via the email you used as your contact email when you signed up for QuickBooks Payments, containing steps to fix any issues with your account promptly. Follow the instructions in the email as soon as possible. If you don't see this notification, please check your spam or junk folder.

I also recommend contacting our QuickBooks Payments live support team. They can review your account in real-time and can provide immediate assistance with this matter.

Here's how:

  1. On the Merchant Service Center, click the Support tile.
  2. Enter your concern in the What can we help you with today? field, and hit Continue.
  3. Choose Chat or Callback.

Our QuickBooks Payments representatives are available Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM PT.

You're always welcome to post here if you need any further assistance or have additional QuickBooks-related questions.
