Question

Trying to use Quickbooks bill payment using the Quickbooks checking account and keep getting the error message; "we can't schedule this payment right now". Why?

Everything looks correct and there are no flags on the Review and schedule payment page.

As I know, QB Checking cannot be used as a payment method of QB Bill Payment. Did you encounter the same problem with other payment methods (ACH, Credit Card)?

Upon checking on my end, there's a recently closed investigation about paying bills through your QuickBooks Online (QBO) checking account. I highly recommend using another payment method. In this way, you can ensure that funds are received by your vendors.

 

As we assess this part to improve our product features, I recommend sending this feedback personally to our product engineers. In this way, the issue you're currently facing will be looked into.

 

To send a feature recommendation, you can follow the steps below:

 

  1. Click the Gear icon, then choose Feedback under Profile.
  2. Type in the feedback or suggestions.
  3. Tap Next to submit.

 

You can trace requests for features through the QuickBooks Online Feature Requests website.
