Question

We migrated from QB desktop to QB Online Payroll Core @ the end of 5/25. QB sent out 2 W2's to our employees & to IRS and FTB. How do I get QB to issue a W2c

The first W2 had only info for Desktop, 2nd W@ included all wages but should have been a W2c

Since QuickBooks handles your tax filings, I recommend contacting our Live Support Team to request a correction. They'll fix and file a W-2c form with the SSA. Once processed, you'll get a copy of the W-2c to distribute to your employees, along with an updated W-3 for your records.

 

To connect with them, follow these steps:

 

  1. Click the Help button in the top-right corner of your QBO screen.
  2. Select the Assistant tab and type Talk to an expert to get support options.
  3. Choose your preferred method — either Chat or Callback.
