If QuickBooks crashes right after you open it on your iPhone or iPad, it's almost always caused by an outdated app version, an outdated iOS version, or app data that's gotten corrupted. Working through the steps below in order clears up most crash-on-launch issues:
- Switch your connection. Toggle between Wi-Fi and mobile data to rule out a connection issue.
- Close and reopen the app. Fully close QuickBooks rather than just leaving it running in the background, then open it again.
- Restart your device. Power your iPhone or iPad all the way off, then back on.
- Update the app. Open the App Store and install the latest version of QuickBooks. An outdated build is one of the most common causes of crash-on-launch issues.
- Update iOS. Go to Settings, then General, then Software Update, and install anything pending.
- Uninstall and reinstall the app. This clears out any corrupted app data that a restart alone won't fix.

Most crash-on-launch issues get resolved somewhere in steps 4 through 6, since those replace the app files and stored data entirely instead of just restarting the process.
