Why have my uploaded receipts disappeared from the For Review and Reviewed tabs in QuickBooks Online?

As of Sunday I had over 200+ receipts under the "for review" tab. When I went back to begin looking at them again they were gone in addition to the receipts that were under the "reviewed" tab. Has anyone had this glitch before? If so, how do you resolve it?

We know how frustrating it is when your uploaded receipts suddenly vanish, especially when you have a large batch waiting to be processed! Don't worry though, a stale browser cache or a quick mix-up between tabs is usually behind this. Let's go through a few simple troubleshooting steps together to help you find and restore your receipts:

Step 1: Try a private or incognito browser window

Opening QuickBooks Online in a private window is a great place to start because it bypasses temporary browser cache or extension glitches. You can open a private window using these handy keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If your missing receipts show up while in a private window, that confirms your regular browser session just needs a quick refresh! Go ahead and clear your browser's cache and cookies, then log back in through your normal browser window.

Step 2: Confirm your receipts are in the right tab

When you upload receipts, they first land in the For review tab where they sit until they're matched or categorized. Once they're reviewed, QuickBooks automatically moves them over to the Reviewed tab. Also, if a receipt was already linked to a transaction, it might be attached directly to that transaction screen rather than staying in those main tabs.

To check across all your uploaded items, navigate to All apps, select Expenses and Bills, and choose Receipts. From there, you can filter by status to easily track down items across every tab.

After checking, I've found no ongoing investigations about missing receipts, worldrv. In this case, let's run some diagnostics steps to verify if this is a browser-related issue.

Since your receipts are missing from the For review and Reviewed tabs, let's perform basic troubleshooting to isolate this issue. Start by opening your account in an incognito or private window. This mode avoids issues caused by your browser's cache or outdated files, providing a clean browsing environment.

Please use the following keyboard shortcuts specific to your browser type:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If the private browsing session works, clear the browser's cache to refresh the system. This step helps reset everything and can be done on supported and updated web browsers for optimal QuickBooks performance.

@Erika11_2 has a solution been figured out yet? Using incognito mode (quickbooks apparent fix all) DOES NOT WORK. This is absolutely ridiculous that Quickbooks refuses to fix any of their issues while constantly raising prices. Please let me know if you are actively working on making your product useable and fixing this (and the MASSIVE backlog of other issues).
