Hello there, Vivi. Yes, you can use a 9-10 digit Unique Entity Number (UEN) issued by the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) as your Tax ID in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Even for GST-exempt companies, this serves as your primary identifier.

For further guidance on your tax status, I recommend you consult with your tax agency or accountant.

Hi

Thank you for your email.

I did try to enter my company UEN in GST ID field but it didn't work. It says the number is incorrect and they couldn't verify my tax location.

This is extremely frustrating as I am GST exempt and I can only prove my tax location by my company UEN.

Hi there, @Vivipoh28. Please make sure you enter the correct UEN format, which contains 9-10 alphanumeric characters.

If you enter it correctly, let's log in to your account in incognito mode to start fresh. This avoids historical data, which can cause errors.

If the issue persists, please contact our live support team to help you determine the root cause of why the format isn't accepted and find a fix for it.
