Thanks for posting in the Community! To ensure that we're on the same page, are you trying to record an EFTPOS payment in QuickBooks Online. If yes, let me show you how to record this.
On the + New button, select Expenses (or Pay Bills if you're trying to pay an open bill).
Select a supplier and Payment account you've used to pay.
Select Payment date and Payment method. If payment method is not on the list, you can click on + Add new to create a new one. Then click Save.
In the Category details column, select the expense account to use.
