I overpaid an employee and need to make a wage deduction on the next payslip. how do I do this?

When you say you wish to do a wage deduction, are you looking to reduce the employee's earnings or are you looking to counter the over-payment with a payroll pre-tax or post-tax deduction on the next payslip?
