QuickBooks allows you to enter employee hours via timesheet and import it once you create a pay run. Here's how:
Go to Employees tab located on the left navigation pane.
On Manage Employees drop-down, select Create Timesheets.
Select an employee on the drop-down menu.
Adjust to week (or fortnight) for which the timesheets are to be entered.
Select whether you want to see timesheet costs or not.
Select employee's Work type.
Choose start and end times for shift and breaks if applicable
The Duration field will confirm how many hours have been entered on behalf of the employee after start, finish and breaks are entered.
Choose from the list of locations that have been preselected for the employee.
Click Save.
Note: If the user has Approve Timesheets permission, the Save button will have an additional option to Save and approve by clicking the arrow to the right of the button.
