If this doesn't fit your situation now, you can run a few basic troubleshooting steps to isolate if it's the cache caused this issue.
You can start by using a private or incognito window. Private browsing prevents cache files from being stored on the browser. If it works, you can go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. When this cache is piled up, it will overload the browser with open you've visited.
