Why is payroll posting journal incrementing from previous general journal ie Jul-Sep20 Csh Exp was created today when the payroll is posted it uses Jul-Sep21 csh exp.

The journal name/number will flow on from the last manual journal created in the system. You will be able to edit this payroll journal to reflect the correct name.
