It's vital that all your transactions are entered correctly for your books to be well balanced. QuickBooks Online is a great tool able to help you create and send invoices to customers. I can provide some information about payments.
There isn't any specific shortcut to create multiple payments for a single customer. WHat you could do is go to the Sales tab, then Customers. Then you could click on their name to see their profile and generate the payment of invoices from there.
