How can I total a recieved dollar amount from a customer over a selected date period ?

To total the dollar amount received from a customer over a specific period, run the Sales by Customer Summary report and filter it by that customer and date range.

Here’s how:
 

1. Go to Reports and search for Sales by Customer Summary.
2. Set the desired date range in the Report Period field.
3. Click Customize in the top-right corner. Under Filters, set the following: 

• Filter by: Customer
• Condition: Equals
• Value: Select the customer’s name

      4. Once the filter is set, select Apply changes to view the customer’s sales activity for the selected period.

If you need a detailed breakdown of the transactions that make up the total, use the Transaction List by Customer report. This report displays each individual transaction associated with the customer.
