Can I amend sequence of chart of accounts items as they appear of profit and loss Account and balance sheet?

I have some information to share about your concern. 

Currently, the option to change the sequence of the items on your Profit and loss and Balance Sheet report isn't available. 

You'll want to sort your account items amount in ascending to descending order. To do this simply click the Collapse option on the report page then click between the default, total in ascending order, and total in descending order.

You can also customise reports in QuickBooks. Then, memorise them to save the current customised settings.
