Adding tags is a great idea to easily and conveniently track your transactions in QuickBooks Online. However, adding numerous tags collectively to your income statement is not yet available, as a workaround you have to manually edit all the transactions you want to add a tag and then run an income report:
At the left navigation panel select the transactions you want to add a Tag, either sales or expenses.
Modify the transaction by clicking Edit, then add the tag.
Then click Save.
Moreover, to run a report that includes the added tags, you can access the Profit and Loss by Tag Group report. Let me show you how:
Go to Reports.
At the search bar, type in Profit and Loss by Tag Group.
Customise according to your preferences.
Then select Run report.
