Hello there, having separate Description and Memo columns in the General Ledger would definitely make things easier.

Currently, the standard General Ledger report in QuickBooks Online combines all entries into a single "Memo/Description" column, making it impossible to separate them. It would be great to suggest this idea to the product team.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback, and share your thoughts. They really do review these suggestions for future updates.

QuickBooks Online doesn't have a single-account ledger report with a side-by-side debit and credit column. The closest option is to view the account register, which shows all transactions for one account with a running balance.

Here's how:

  1. Go to All Apps, then select Accounting, and choose Chart of Accounts.
  2. Click View register or Run report for some account types.
