Question

Why can't I find the section to upload bank statement transaction records in the app? I could upload them in the "to do" section before, but not anymore.

Hi there @xiaoping. The reason is that the "To-Do" section in the old QuickBooks Self-Employed app was a general reminder area that prompted for manual tasks. While in the new Sole Trader Plus version, it uses AI-driven automation to handle bank data in the background.

If your bank is currently linked, the app assumes the data is flowing automatically and removes the "Upload" prompt from your dashboard to keep your workspace clean.

While you can still snap photos of individual receipts in the mobile app, bulk bank statement uploads (CSV or PDF) are now located in the Bank Transactions on the web version to ensure the AI maps your data accurately.

When manually uploading through the web, you can go to Transactions > Bank Transactions.  Click the dropdown arrow next to Link Account and select Upload from file.

This setup allows your transactions to sync automatically when your bank is connected, while still giving you the option to upload files through the web when needed for accurate record-keeping.
