Can I pay an employee before I have my chart of accounts set up?

Before you process your employees' pay, you need to set up your Chart of Accounts for proper accounting of your payroll taxes and wages. Here's how:

1. Sign in to your QBO account.
2. Click on Accounting at the left pane, then tap on Chart of Accounts.
3. Select New to create a new account.
4. Fill in the account details.
5. Tap on Save and Close once completed.
6. Repeat the same steps for other accounts.
