You can cancel a QuickBooks Online plan in a few steps.
Sign in to QuickBooks from a web browser.
Go to Settings ⚙ and then Account and Settings.
Select the Billing and subscription tab.
In the QuickBooks section, click on Cancel subscription or Cancel online.
Select Continue to cancel, then select Continue to cancel again (if applicable).
If you use QuickBooks Online Accountant and your client's account is under your wholesale billing, you need to transfer billing to your client to inactivate the account. Here's how to do that: Add or Remove QuickBooks Online companies from wholesale billing
Once you cancel your QuickBooks Online subscription, your data will be available in read-only access for 1 year from the date of cancellation. If you resubscribe within 12 months of canceling your plan, you'll be able to access your earlier data. After 12 months, you can still resubscribe with the same credentials, but your data will no longer be available.
