How do I make a spelling correction in the chart of accounts?

QuickBooks Online is equipped with a straightforward way to make changes to the accounts in the chart of accounts, so let me explain how you can go about fixing that error.

To edit or change the name of an account in the Chart of Accounts please follow the steps below:

1. Navigate to the Chart of Accounts from the Accounting tab on the left.
2. Locate the account you need to edit.
3. Click the black arrow in the Action column, then select Edit.
4. Make any necessary changes to the account.
5. Click Save and Close.
