How do i run a report showing sales with gross profit for a month

There's a ton of reports you can run in QuickBooks Desktop. I'd be happy to steer you in the right direction. 

If you're looking for a report to show the gross amounts of your sales, you can run the Daily Sales Detail (or the summary) report and change the date range to show one month. The columns include Amount, Net amount, Sales tax amount, and Gross amount. 

You can customize this report to show the information for the month by following the steps below:

1. Go to Reports in top menu bar.

2. Go to Sales.

3. Choose the Daily Sales Summary or Daily Sales Detail report.

4. In the Dates drop-down, pick This Month or enter a custom date range.
