Question

I'm a Canadian solopreneur and claiming a portion of my mortgage on my tax return. How do I get the Business Use of Home category to populate in my Tax Summary?

No matter which type of Tax Summary I choose to generate, the Business Use of Home category isn't included. Anyone know how to fix this or what other workarounds I might employ?

Hello there, @caclaridge.

The Business Use of Home tax category should appear on the Taxes page. Any tax categories listed there should automatically populate in your Tax Summary.

Since it’s not showing on your end, I recommend contacting our Live Support Team for further assistance. They have the necessary tools to investigate this issue in detail and provide a resolution.

To contact them, here's how:

  1. Fill out the email form here: QuickBooks Support.

  2. Select QuickBooks Self-Employed from the product menu.
  3. Type your concern in the box.
  4. Click Continue.
  5. You can choose to chat with the live support or request a callback.

If you have any additional concerns or questions, feel free to let us know.
