In my chart of accounts i made a mistake and entered an improper account under Bank. Can i delete that account?

Thanks for reaching out to us here.  Having the ability to remove bank accounts from your chart of accounts is a great way to keep your accounts accurate and organized.  However, QuickBooks Online only provides the option to make an account inactive and doesn't provide the option to delete accounts at this time.  I would be glad to help!

Here's how to make an account inactive;

1. Open your Settings ⚙ and select Chart of accounts

2. Locate the account you want to remove

3. Click on the ▼ dropdown menu in the Action column

4. Select Make inactive
