Welcome to Community! QuickBooks Online automatically customizes your chart of accounts based on your business entity. Although you can add additional accounts to track other types of transactions, the option to create new account types and detail types is currently unavailable. If you would like to see this added in future updates, please don't hesitate to submit a suggestion to our Development Team by going to Settings ⚙ and select Feedback. Customer recommendations are greatly appreciated, in assisting with improving your overall customer experience in QuickBooks Online.
