I was wondering is there a way to see how much material there is per job that is created from a bill by using items. Because my manager and supervisors need to know how much materials are being spent per job. I'm able to see a report of each material and what job it has, and all materials per vendor but I need all materials per job which is what I cannot find.
My client has an account I am trying to reconcile but it was set up without an opening balance prior to my involvement. There is no entry I can simply "edit" to reflect the correct opening balance. How do I add an opening balance to an already existing account?
How do I record on quickbooks expenses paid from another cheque?And how will I record previously paid transactions?

Hey team, I'm a musician and music teacher. I've been trying to get my accounting and tax game in order and I am pretty new to it still so forgive me if this question is silly. I work as a teacher contractor at two music studios and I get paid for that monthly. At the end of the year I will get T4A slips from the studios with the total amount I have made. I also gig in addition to the teaching and receive money that way. Should I mark my teaching pay any different in quickbooks because I am getting a T4A? Or does it all add up to business income and when I export it to turbotax with my T4A slips it'll understand and not duplicate my income from teaching? Thanks everyone!
