Our fiscal year is December 01 to November 30th We need to report for Dec.01 2024 to Nov.30 2025 But the sales tax reconciliation tool wants to calculate Dec.01, 2025 - Nov.30 2026. How do I change the dates so it calculates the correct year?

Hello there, John.

Currently, you're unable to change the sales tax period if you've already file the returns for this year. You'll need to unfiled all the returns first in order to select a different period. Only QBOA users or accountants with QBOA access have the option to perform this action.

If you don’t have an accountant, you can reach out to our Live Support team for assistance in correcting the issue. Here's how:

  1. Go to Help.
  2. Select the Search tab, then choose Contact Us.
  3. Type in your issue or concern in the field.
  4. Hit Continue.
  5. Click the Chat or Callback option.
