Trying to change the detail type in the chart of accounts but it wont let me

Thanks for reaching out to us here.  QuickBooks Online provides the option to add or edit accounts in your Chart of Accounts.  Having the ability to make changes, enables you to keep your accounts organized.  I'd be happy to provide some insight here!

In your situation, I suggest reviewing the Account Types, as these will provide the associated Detail Types.  If you need to make changes to the type of parent accounts, or subaccounts, click here.
