Am I able to change my QuickBooks account to a self employed account for the new tax year whilst still keeping all my old records?

Hello homebyatkinsdeco, You can not change Quickbooks Online to Quickbooks Self Employed as it is a totally different package, unfortunately. You would need to cancel the one you were not going to use QBO if canceled would be in read-only mode for a year. Then you could start afresh and connect your bank on QB Self Employed and categorise it as normal for the new tax year. Any questions we're happy to go into more detail.
