Question

How do we now see Sales this Month for the whole month and sales month to date and sales this month are the same figure?

I put orders on for later in the month so I prefer to see Sales figures that includes all the figures up until the end of the month rather than just to date. This is still two options but they both produce the same figure I can go into reports and find the information but it makes more sense to have it as an option on the dashboard

Hello, Feelwells.

The This month and This month-to-date filters on the widget are fixed. These two will show the same figure if the transactions you’ve entered for the current month are all dated up to today’s date. However, orders scheduled for later in the month will not be included in these totals, as QuickBooks only computes sales activity up to the selected date range. Selecting the This month filter would show your entire revenue or income for that period.

To include future-dated transactions, I recommend pulling up a report instead. You can customize the date range on the report to include those specific transactions, so you’ll have the full picture of your monthly sales.

Alternatively, you can use broader date filters within the sales widget, such as This Quarter or This Year.

Let me know if you’d like further assistance with setting up reports or exploring the other dashboard filters.
