You can remove VAT exceptions by creating a journal entry. However, before doing this, I recommend seeking help from your accountant or tax advisor in choosing the correct accounts to use. Here's how to enter a journal entry:

 

  1. Click the + New button and select Journal Entry.
  2. Fill out the journal date.
  3. Enter the necessary information like the accounts and amounts on each line.
  4. Once done, click Save and Close.

 

If you are not sure and do not have an accountant to speak to, you can contact our QuickBooks Support Team. This way, they'll be able to make a request for the engineers to create this journal for you.
