It's my priority that you'll be able to edit an enter an opening balance to your credit card account. I have some steps to follow on how you can achieve this goal.
If you haven't entered any opening balance on the account that you've created in QuickBooks Online, you have the option to edit it by following these steps below:
Go to Gear icon.
Select on Chart of Accounts.
Locate the account, then go to the Action column and select Account history.
However, if you're still unable to edit it, you can try accessing your QuickBooks through a private window. The cache is stored for increased loading performance, but too much can accumulate and bog down processes. I'm including an article that goes over this in more depth and provides steps for supported browsers: Delete or Disable Cache and Temporary Internet Files in Your Web Browser.
If none of these work for you, you can enter a CC expense transaction and have the Opening Balance Equity account as the affected account.
To do that:
Go to the Accounting menu on the left.
Look for the Credit Card account then click the View Register link.
Click on the Add expense drop-down menu and select the specific transaction type.
Enter the necessary information.
Click Save.
