changing a GL number for a deposit

You can edit the General Ledger number within the Chart of Accounts, Hero. It's my pleasure to provide the steps on how to achieve this in QuickBooks Online.

Please note that when you change the account numbers, this will also reflect to the reports retroactively.

Follow these steps below:

1. Locate the account you want to change and click the Dropdown Arrow.

2. Next, press the Edit tab.

3. On the Edit Account Window, locate the Account Number section. Edit or enter a new number.

4. Once done, click the Save button.
