Hi there, @pogilvy.

 

I'm here to show you how to disable automatic credits to your customers in QuickBooks Online.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Accounts and Settings.
  2. Head to the Advanced tab and look for the Automation section.
  3. Turn off the Automatically apply credits option.
  4. Click Save.

 

This way, you can now add credits to your customers without applying them to an invoice automatically.

 

Additionally, you can also consider creating and applying credit memos or delayed credits in QuickBooks Online.
