If you update anything on your bank’s website, such as your account number or username, you'll need to update that information in QuickBooks as well.
Here's how you can do it:
Go to the Transactions menu, then Bank transactions.
Click the tile for the bank account and select the Edit icon.
Select Edit sign-in info.
Update your information as needed.
If you want to activate and use account numbers for your Chart of Accounts in QuickBooks, follow the steps below:
First, let's Enable account numbers feature in the Account and Settings.
Go to the Gearicon and select Accounts and settings.
From theAdvancedtab.
SelectEdit icon in theChart of accountssection.
Turn onEnable account numbers. If you want account numbers to show in reports and transactions, selectShow account numbers.
Click Saveand thenDone.
After enabling, you can assign account numbers in the Chart of Accounts.
