How do I record construction equip rental costs in QuickBooks online? I rent const. equip. for my company to perform its service and am unsure how to enter the expense

If you haven't yet, you'll need to create two separate Expense accounts to track the equipment rental and 1099. However, I recommend reaching out to your accountant for the specific detail type to use. 

Then, set up the operator as a contractor to track them for 1099. Here's how:

1. Go to Payroll and select Contractors.
2. Click Add a Contractor.
3. Enter your contractor's info, or check the Email this contractor box so they can fill it out.
4. Once done, select Add Contractor.
