How do I run a report for all dates in QuickBooks Online?

No "All Dates" option in "New Enhanced Experience in Reports" for Quickbooks Online

Hello, I was looking at the "New Enhanced Experience in Reports" and found that the "All Dates" option has been removed. Can we get the "All Dates" option restored? This is important because Quickbooks Online will be sunsetting the "Classic" reports view that allows the "All Dates" option.

Thank you, Greg

Run a report for all dates in QuickBooks Online

You can set any report in QuickBooks Online to cover all dates on file for your account. Open the report, select All Dates from the Report period dropdown, then run the report.

  1. Go to Reports.
  2. Open the report you want to run.
  3. Select the Report period dropdown.
  4. Choose All Dates.
  5. Select Run report.

This pulls every transaction on record for your account, from the day you started using QuickBooks Online through today, plus any other filters you've set on the report.

Why this option came and went

QuickBooks Online reports have fully moved over to what's now called Modern View. Classic View has been retired, so switching back to it isn't an option anymore, even for accounts that had access before.

All Dates dropped out of the Report period options for a while during that transition, but it's since been added back. You'll find it sitting right in the Report period dropdown along with the other date ranges, no extra steps needed.

Any custom date range still works the same way too, from a single day up to your entire account history, all from that same dropdown.

Keep this setup for next time

If you run the same report with All Dates often, save yourself the repeat clicks:

  1. Set the report up the way you want it, with All Dates selected.
  2. Select Save customization.
  3. Give it a name you'll recognize.

The next time you open that saved report, your all-dates setup is already there.

Hello there, Greg. I understand that you want the option to choose "All Dates" in the new enhanced experience reports.

Currently, this option is not available in the updated reports or modern view. In the meantime, you can switch back to the classic view to use it.

Here's how:

  1. Hover to Reports.
  2. Pick your preferred reports with a New Enhanced Experience at the side.
  3. Click Switch to classic view.
  4. From the Report Period dropdown select All Dates
  5. Once done, click Run report

Moreover, you can customize your reports in QuickBooks Online and memorize them. This feature saves you time from doing the customization process again.

You can always reach out to me if you need further information or clarification regarding the new enhanced experience reports. I always got your back, Greg.
