How do I shut off the excel sync in reports for QBO?

I am no longer able to just run a report and look at it online. It forces it to export to excel through the new excel sync feature.

For me to understand the workflow you are experiencing. Can you share screenshots of the prompt that requires you to continue with the Excel sync?

Take note that there is no simple off button to this feature. The system uses this direct export functionality as its primary method for advanced reporting.

However, you can still view most reports directly within QuickBooks Online without exporting to Excel. To do this, you'll need to use the Standard Reports section, not the Excel Sync option.

  1. Go to the Reports section from the left-hand menu.
  2. From there, select a report to view. It should display directly in your browser.
