1) BANK TRANSACTIONS: Report of all line items related to a particular SPENT or RECEIVED item which includes INVOICE NUMBER !!! (I've used AI and tried every combination of MEMO, INV, NUM and it will not show)

2) BILLS: Report of all payments related to a particular BILL (if I click on the BILL, I can see it on the screen but I want this information in a report)

Hi there, @JeffV2026. Have you tried customizing the report columns? Also, which specific reports have you generated so far, or do you need help deciding where to start?

The reason your first report is missing details is that QuickBooks treats bank transactions and invoices/bills as separate data tables. While standard bank reports pull the description or memo from the bank feed, it won’t automatically display invoice numbers.

To resolve this, you can run the Transaction List by Date report and filter it to display your spent and received amounts, memos, and invoice numbers. Simply navigate to the Reports menu and type Transaction List by Date in the search field. From there, set the Report Period and click Customize. In the Filters section, select the Transaction Type to distinguish between payment and deposit. Then, select Payment, Deposit, and Invoice in another field.

Regarding your second concern, if you want to see which payments and bills are closed without clicking them individually, you can generate the Bill Payment List report. Navigate to Reports and enter Bill Payment List. Filter the Report Period, click Customize, and in the Filters section, select Bill and Bill Payment. Finally, ensure Transaction Type is checked in the Columns section.

Also, consider checking out our QuickBooks Live Expert Assisted team. They can help you run your reports and manage your transactions.
