Question

I created budgets by department (Locations), but I can’t view or report on each department separately. All departments appear together in budget reports.

In the Budget vs Actual report, the Location filter that previously allowed viewing each department separately is no longer available. As a result, all departments appear together in the report.

Welcome to the Community, @momarov2.

Since all departments appear together in the budget reports, you can use the Filter feature for Department to view the report for each department separately.

Here's how:

  1. In the report, select Customize.
  2. Scroll down to Filter, then check the box for Department.
  3. Select the specific department from the dropdown.
  4. Click Run report.

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us in this thread.

Is there a way to change the Over Budget column header to Variance?

Hi there, Melissa56. There isn't a direct method for renaming headers within Standard reports, as they are predefined by the system.

As a workaround, I suggest exporting the report to Excel. This way, you can manually change the headers to whatever fits your needs.
