Thank you for reaching out to the Community, @Sherry-1241.

I'd be glad to help you change your legal name in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

To begin with, you'll have to edit your company information in your payments and payroll accounts first to make changes in your legal name or your business information. Follow the steps below to update your business information:

  1. Go to Settings, then Payroll settings.
  2. In General tax, select Edit.
  3. Update the Company legal name or Company legal address, then Save.

Once done, you can now change your business information. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Gear Icon, and select Account and Settings.
  2. Select Company, and then click Edit of the Company name.
  3. Enter your new legal name and then click Save.

For reference, check this article: Change your business name, contact info, or EIN.

I'll also add this article to guide you update or change your email address, user ID, password, and other information: Update or change your Intuit Account sign-in information.

Feel free to click the Reply button below if you have other questions about changing your legal name in QBO. I'm always here to help. Have a great day.
