Question

My A/R Summary report has no data - all zeros. The A/R detail shows accurately. How do I get the summary back?

In the Customer center, it shows a balance next to each customer.  All Detail reports show all the data, but attached is what the summary report looks like. Customer Balance Summary report is also zeros.  But balance detail works.  How do I get the Summary reports back and where did they go?

Since your Detail reports are accurate, you can restore your summary data by ensuring your Report Basis is set to Accrual and your Date range is set to All.

To do this, open your A/R Summary report and set the Dates dropdown to All. Confirm that the date range includes the period with your open balances. Ensure the Report Basis is set to Accrual. If it is already set to Accrual, briefly switch to Cash and then back to Accrual. Once done, click the Refresh button.

This adjustment will bring back your summary view so you can get right back to business.
