Report of Cash Receipts/Bank Deposits

I cannot replicate an old report, but I know it can be done; I need a Deposit Detail report that includes any cash receipts and deposits done though the banking section--the cash receipts will need to be filtered by Check as I don't want the other methods of payments that come in during the day--only the checks for the bank.

Reports > Deposit Detail > Customize Report > Filters > Select 'Payment Method' > Select 'Check' under the 'Payment Method' drop-down.

Thank you--this report doesn't even total nor does it contain the bank deposits--

Your original post says "I need a Deposit Detail report that includes any cash receipts and deposits done though the banking section".  By "banking section", do you mean you're making deposits by going to Banking > Make Deposits?  If so, that report works fine for me, and it totals the deposits.

I agree with Rainflurry, @cagey871. You can filter payment methods by Check in the Deposit Detail report to view cash receipts specific to that payment type.

Here's how:

  1. Hover to the Reports menu at the top bar and select Banking.

  2. Choose Deposit Detail, then click the Customize Report button.
  3. Set the Dates to the preferred date period.

  4. In the Columns section under the Display tab, search Pay Meth and put a check beside it.
  5. Next, navigate to the Filters section. In the Filter column, scroll down and tick the Payment Method. Click the dropdown arrow and select Check.

  6. Once done, tick OK.
