adding mark-up to items that you buy and sell

Welcome to Community!  Having the option to add a mark up to your items can be done effortlessly.  QuickBooks Online has the features you need to ensure your success.  I'll be happy to help!

To turn the feature on, follow these steps:

1. From the Gear ⚙ in the top right, select Account and settings

2. Open Expenses from the left menu

3. Click the Edit ✎ to the far right of the Bills and expenses section

4. Turn on Make expenses and items billable

4. Checkmark the box for Markup with a default rate of.  If you leave the rate box blank, you can change the percentage amount on the forms.

5. When finished, hit Save and then Done
