It's important that all your customers are set up properly so that your books can be well organized. QuickBooks Online is a great tool allowing you to create customers and sub-customers so that you can organize customers who have different departments. I can point you in the right direction for this.

In order to be able to have them set up as multiple sub-customers grouped under one main customer, you can first set up your main customer, then follow the steps in this article in the section titled Add a sub-customer to set up the different divisions you need.
