Can you take USD payments from a client that is setup as USD using the QBO payments feature?

No. You need to use a 3rd party payment processor to integrate with QB and accept international payments.

With QuickBooks Payments, you can securely email an invoice to your customer with a Pay now option, so you get paid on time.  However, this feature is currently only available for Canadian payment methods as listed here.  Please feel free to submit a suggestion, if you would like to see additional options come available in future updates.  In the interim, you can review other options with third party apps.
